The Enthusiast/Optimist

Type Sevens have a need for diversity and fun in order to avoid pain or negativity in their environment.

Characteristics
Type Sevens are optimistic, idea-oriented, practical, and improvisational.

Description
Type Sevens avoid negativity in pursuit of positivity. They epitomize the human tendency to move from pain to pleasure, which is why their minds are full of novel ideas. Things that are new and different energize Type Sevens, and they can have an insatiable appetite for the new and exciting. They can come across as easily distracted, and while this is partly true, their ideas often develop through conversations and research. Their thoughts, ideas, and plans can evolve more than those of other types.

Type Sevens might plan, but they trust their ability to both improvise and recognize opportunities as they arise. Their driving belief is that if you focus on the optimal goal, you can achieve it. They process information rapidly, which can come across as impatience. Endless discussions about problems or repetitive conversations feel ineffective and can increase their impatience.

For Type Sevens, motion and progress is their default. As a result, they enjoy starting new and challenging endeavors. They are drawn to challenges that haven't been solved by others and then inspire others toward that vision.
